Surrounded by sugar cane farms and small winding dirt tracks, the resort's lush tropical gardens provide an almost rustic setting. Coconut palms abound, as do colourful native plants like bougainvillea, allamanda, and heliconia. But it is in the evening when you feel the special ambience of this pretty and peaceful resort. A canopy of stars above, kerosene flares faintly illuminating the palms, and the quiet, relaxed solitude of a tropical island night. All of the 24 bures on the resort are elevated and constructed from pine poles and local timbers. Roofs are thatched in the traditional manner and floors are of polished hardwood, adding further to the rustic feel of Club Fiji. Each bure has its own ensuite bathroom, a refrigerator, ceiling fans and plenty of timber-louvred windows, which provide additional natural cooling and ventilation. In addition, your own private verandah has lovely views of the resort, ocean and Nadi Bay.
Club Fiji also has their "Summerhouse", a two-storey structure combining the best of Mediterranean and Fijian architecture. Within this complex are eight large (42 sq metre) deluxe beachfront villas, each with its own airy verandah. Italian floor tiles, Fijian timber fittings and timber-louvred windows combine to create a look that is both stylish and functional. Ensuite bathrooms have double vanity units fashioned from Fijian hardwood and both bath and shower. All villas are airconditioned.
Views from these new units are spectacular and take in Nadi Bay and the nearby mountains of 'The Sleeping Giants'. For more information please go to the accommodation page.
The central focus of Club Fiji is the main building or Na Bure Levu (Grand House) as it translates in the Fijian language. This imposing edifice features a striking 30 foot vaulted ceiling, typical of Fijian structures of old. Great exposed pine poles support the roof and polished hardwood floors complement the Fijian feel.
Na Bure Levu houses the Duidui Restaurant and Bar, which overlooks the warm Pacific Ocean. Large covered verandahs, ideal for wining and dining in the tropics, surround the building. Here are some of our main features:
